It is a little slow, about a hundred frames per binary place (16 (10000) will take 100 frames more than 15 (1111)) but it converts any whole number up to 9999999999 into a binary number. See the forum post for an explanation.

Thanks so far my ideas for conveting back to binary will be twice as big as this converter but hopefully it will all fit.

i think your calculator will be realy realy cool if you get it without any roms , realtime converter and if it can calculate realy big numbers.i bet this thing would get fp.

I try to avoid the whole ROM deal, the only place in here with actual ROM is in the top left and that is just for the screen. Also, all the wifi used is for the screen and the keypad, the number part doesn't use any wifi itself

yes i even like electronics which works by them self without any preprogrammations but i realy dont get how to make "flexible" converters without any rom simliar basics.

I mean I will need a binary to decimal converter eventually

Yeah I know i need a converter but I don't want it to be ROM stye I like to make parts that can be easily expanded without saving values for conversion. It's a lot harder but I prefer it

i even like to develope electronic calculators but i dont use a bin to dec converter like this i have an kind of array ROM + its fast and smaler than yours - it can just display the numbers you have programmed. So i think if you make it a bit smaler you can use i without any problem in an calculator and just alone this feature will give you many votes + an good calculator = many many up votes ;)). But remember you even need an Bin to Dec to display the answer.

Thanks! I counted 34 bits. I know the display isn't very great but I made this as a first step of a binary calculator, not it just needs a binary to decimal converter and it will be ready to be expanded to do real calculations on big numbers. Eventually it won't even display the binary number, it will do some calculations with it and display a decimal answer. This is just the first step, but it is (i think) the hardest to get right

this is soo awesome i hope/think this would get FP ;) .I realy like the complex set up and the way it works,Its slow but its ok because it works without any failures and ist handels very big numbers ( i think arround 38 bit).Maybe make an better binay display but anything else is realy good :) +1
