    Pretty cool, but the gun has a tendancy to only repair using the back armor plate - if you have METL as your inside plate (maybe it's for a tank?), QRTZ on the outside, but the quartz is being obliterated by a laser, you're pretty much screwed with the gun, as the laser would just burn it away!

    A little longshot idea here but..what about make a grid-working machine that fixes from all angles. It rains from the top and shoots from the bottom onto the destroyed material. And it uses lasers as a sensor when the object has been completly reparied.
