zachbell, thanks to the strong amount of heat, it would actually turn to lava instead. Although there might be a problem removing the lava without also causing a slight disruption in the fusion system. Agghh...Why is there always a disadvantage to everything? -

i figured that fusion works best when all the gas is sucked out, that way the energy travels smoothly, gasses outta the way! harder to ignite but waay longer. look up my fusion batteries! -

What you really want is for the oxygen to burn (fire, not fusion) shortly after being made. It gets it out of the way, but can also suck up a lot of heat. For whatever reason, fire is always the same temperature for a given material no matter what the temperature of that material is. -
