Update: I changed the SHLD to INSL so that it wouldn't grow, and I redid the saber itself and adjusted the deco.

    What if the PHOT emitter was at the top, instead of the bottom? Then it would retract.

    if you want to change blue to red then add dust on PHOT

    @TerraFonica Yeah, but why? I diddn't think quartz would have a fixed colour, I thought it channged tthe colours at random...Huh.

    If you change the void with a sold and make it a bit wider then it retracts.
