When the Chariot of Dredd landed down upon the Daxus region of Tiarrus, it was surrounded seas of trees and grass. Now, the Chariot itself is swarmed by urban sprawl that crawls outwards until it falls to decay and poverty.

yo imperatus. can i make another colony of this-i also heard lightspeed was working on stuff pretty close to you .still hes awesome

It sounds to me like Imperatus is a corrupted, hierarchical, wealth driven society. not nice for the non-elite.
-
And yes, they are pretty damn big.
-
cont. There are no weapons aside from defensive turrets and other machinations, but it does possess a large shield-like energy structure which can withstand a blast to the absolute maximum of about 5 gigatons, but comfortably shrugs off 2 gigatons.
-
I'd say about 20 kilos high and 300 kilos at its absolute wides point, and technically they can snake around planets, as their rear's fabricate new materials to extend and leave a trail of factories and refineries, but once detached it is about 250 kilos in length.

How big are those terra rollers? And do they have shields and weapons?

@Dan: I am largely inpsired by the shape of Halo's take on Space Tethers, but all things else are based largely on Warhammer or my own imagination.
-
@TPL: Indefinitely, other places on the planet have skyscrapers that stretch almost above the troposphere. @Rune: Well, when one has access to entire planetoids worth of resources in addition to legions upon legions of slaves of all races and form working in unison (by force), something quite as large can be done in under a century. They are rather 'sacred' devices, and are used most of the time to set an example nowadays...

@Imperatus: Terra-Rollers? That's a new one, but while it could be possible.. (Borg Collective)... it would take entire eras to construct. Consider the Reaper Armada. It started with one, but over the course of cycles it grew and grew. A terra-roller would suggest an extremely advanced society bent on war.
