  There hasn't been much progress on the flagship. The test was to check the calibration of a secondary superlaser capacitor, the test failed and damaged the capacitor, and it had to be repaired to an atomic level while still charged, the process meant most ftl and surface communications were offline until the repair could be completed.

  The time travel thing was basically a tachyon transmitter. I'm not sure exactly what this one does (Hamsterboy made it), but you need a tachyon reciever, and it is capable of sending a large amount of information.

  Welcome back, since you were gone the galaxy was nearly destroyed, time travel was discovered (Sorta), an accident while testing the flagship disabled all tpt communications for about 2 days, and Hamsterboy blew up a planet while trying to power a toilet with neutronium.
