    When you click it, the tnt is ignited. That part is simple. The exceptionally long string of tnt is what kills it. All explosives detonate sequentially, which is why igniting a line of tnt doesn't always destroy it all at once. the 'explosion' is really just each connected pixel transitioning into fire and producing pressure and velocity. Therefore the client crashes because each 'explosion' tries to trace the line of tnt, while the resulting fire ignites more.
