You could use ID:1816085 tech as some sort of beam weapon like the ones in Freespace 2 (BFRed, for example).

also one more thing...escort-class drone cruiser...has stigmas and possibly ghosts on board and possibly suicidal drones? like banshee missiles but it would look like a ship
