Ruins of Tannus' capital, this section of the planet was spared during the orbital glassing due to heavy defence emplacments preventing acurate bombardment. A few hundred thousand people carry on the will of the Imperium and are rebuilding.

    anti orbital defense emplacemnts are my favorite kind of gun :D The Mavor I mentioned is an artillery piece from the game Supreme Commander. ITs about the size of a sky scraper and fires shells with at least 20 kt of explosive force.

    Maybe add a sort of salvage settlement near the battleship, show them taking off pieces and fabricating new metal

    It's an Anti-Orbital weapon. If you look at the save of the Planet, there is a destoyed Rift-Class. They are what disabled it.

    whats the yield on the big gun? it looks to be about 3/4 the size of a mavor, so I'm estimating it can destroy any ground emplacements, as well as any aircraft/space craft it hits

    Yeah, its a mass driver. In later updates. they will repair it and setup shipyards in the old city.
