I should clarify, its not the ship, but the technology being tested. This vessel is immune from all beam and kinetic weapons and can change direction and speed instantly. This tech can be scaled up and fitted to ships as large as the Eclipse, if given time.

Its to do with how it's shield works. It turns anything that hits it into EXOT and uses it to power itself. Also, warp beams.
