    I don't see any problems with it not having enough thrust or Delta-V, so it clearly doesn't need struts. It needs boosters to help with the structural integrity.

    You see, the problem here-- it's quite good, but the problem here is that it needs more struts.

    Guys, this is what KSP is SUPPOSED to be like! Squad just couldn't figure out how to best implement parts exploding gradually from the inside, so they added planets and moons for us to travel to for fun.
