    like yours but faster and able to do . . . IDEA! why not build a big robot that only moves when detects something (plnt or brck) but heres the kicker: if it does this and is well desiged it shouldnt need wifi and isnt connected to a brain (simple circuit inside bot) SO you can have multiple everywher doing their own thing?

    The brain needs a buffer so that only one movement is done at once, otherwise your piston cube breaks.

    we need to rebuild the brain with a simple random thing and an impossible to break buffer that prevents multiple signals overloading it

    But no matter what, the creature will be subject to sensory overload if there are too many individuals. My present set up in was guides the robot through a brick maze.

    Ah, exactly, if it can self replicate, as long as they are adjacent it simply becomes a creature with large bounds.
