We are the SFPI, we are searching for mechanical life that can detect danger and think. essentialy basic AI. Our end goal is to make one that can replicate and change, so it will """evolve"""

Hmm... Sad thing that I have other things to do now, didn't expect it to come this quickly. Sorry guys, I don't think I'll be able to contribute to this project a lot anymore.

    not really a problem actually.

There is a problem, when it comes to actually evolving. It cannot evolve because the evolution/upgrading functions are already built in. So there would have to be radioactive force that triggers evolution

It can also be divided into two compartments that each move together: to the left is the functional part which gives a cell its phenotype. To the right is the reproductive part which stays the same for all cells. Parents set the type of cell their child creates. And indeed, eventually all cells should be capable of communicating together with one or two main cells coordinating everyone.

mhmm. But I did develop TPT's first 60 Hz FILT FRAM. I know a lot about FILT electronics. It's just a difficult task figuring out how to make such a thing move. The reproduction logic would be rather difficult indeed. Like how would it be able to select the correct gene or where to put it? And how will the bot iterate through each 'codon'?

Used mask bits should accumulate into one ctype and whenever all bits are used up, the whole cell should move by a pixel and start writing another row. If 7 'mask FILT' have passed and another 'element string' hasn't been written/declared, subsequent mask FILTs will use the last used element type to draw into the current row.

now we are getting complex! but before we get there we have to make a larger bot (using your idea (maybe 3/4 corners have moving systems and the spare corner has its brain and such.) its just not possible to build such storage systems so small. IM trying to build a computer and its difficult to make a tiny storage thing. BUT your work is amazing and dont stop. just write it down for when we reach that level.
