Entropy Unlimited's answer to the Universe, The Entropy-Class can manipulate the very fabric of space within a 9.7 LY radius. It's weapons, armor, and computing systems all approach the theoretical maximum.

IF they have, or ever will have, time travel, they could answer the question "What would happen if the biomorphs were never created?". Either (A) they will never attain this capability, or (B) they will eventually answer that question, then return the past to the version which we know as history.

BUT if they already HAD time travel then they would just go back and tell themselvs about everything they know so they would double in siz and exponentially increce in power and efficency.

It's hard to have a rational debate where time travel is involved, but I'll give it a shot...If time travel is possible, Entropy has already manipulated the universe to their artificial hearts' content. Anybody who is discussing how to fight them must necessarily exist in a universe where Entropy are at some point aware of such discussion and still choose to permit it.

By anything i meant "not everything"

firstly, there wouldnt be enough prosessing power to simulate ANYTHING with perfect accuracy even if the whole univers was a quanum supercomuter. Sencondly, if they are looking for every asnwer, they wiill eventually discover time travel so they can kill the man, record, and then go back and not kill him, recording again.

Remember also that they have easily enough processing power to simulate just about anything with perfect accuracy, so they don't necessarily need to seek all their data in the 'real' world - virtual replicas will suffice for many, perhaps even most, questions.

According to your logic, they will also eventually be compelled to commit mass suicide, so that the single survivor can document the results...

Since certain answers render others unobtainable (eg, "What will happen if I kill this man today?" vs "What will happen if he lives for another twenty years?") Entropy either has some system of determining which answers are the most valuable, or they are content to solve some problems by pure deduction and extrapolation. Either way, they will most likely prefer to devote their physical resources (and time) to whatever they perceive as more interesting questions.

But m point IS STILL VALID, if they are looking for ALL KNOWLAGE then they will eventually do anything and everything, including wiping out all life at some point along the way.

Given that this ship alone contains multiple Matryoshka brains (supercomputers so powerful they require Dyson spheres to power them), it seems likely that it can solve most puzzles by pure deduction. My feeling is that Entropy Unlimited will soon (at least on a cosmic timescale) either migrate to another universe or ascend to a higher plane of existence. There just isn't much left for them here.
