In reality it was much bigger (Mt Everest was dwarfed by it) and it colided in the sea. -

You probably wouldn't even notice if you were on the other side of the planet, the dinosaurs wouldn't have died from the cold either. The main killer would be the plants dying because of all the dust, once they go everything starts dying out from the biggest animals to the smallest. -

@sentinal-5 thats only assuming none of them were near the impact site, and considering is was multiple miles long that is incredibly unlikely, if not impossible. -

cool meteorite effect but i'm pretty sure they froze to death due to the dust the impact caused. being cold-blooded and all that means it would've happened way before they starved, leaving only the warm-blooded mammals as survivors. -
