    also their symbol is a red cross mark for me.

    but first. I create 2 citadels, 1 on the island, and 1 on the small peninsula. Each citadel has atleast 2K troops inside with cannons on all sides and 10 meter moats and the only way to get inside is a walkbridge that appears out from the water and a drawbridge which are all controlled inside.

    My long-range ballista bombard any enemy ships that get within sight of my coasts, and my ships patrol my coastal waters. My local militas also prepare in case of an invasion, and weapons are distributed amongst civilians.
