Neither will change, Icono. As you would be free to pursue your own research, your current research would remain unchanged. The Republic of Xephosa is a newly formed nation, and as such has not researched bronze yet, but is currently researching iron.

my scientists find a use for the black explosive powder they call krit. it is put into long pots, which are then filled with stone. when the krit is ignited, the stone is propelled out at high speed. this proves very useful for scaring away predators, and killing natives.
