Mandelbrot set zoomed in 40 million times at a=-1.749 and b=0 Please use deco. I created this only with ingame lua and no 3-rd party Software.

    Yeah, this is super cool, but just have one uploaded to show your hard work from the script. Then don't upload any more, because it takes almost no effort whatsoever and undermines the hard work people take on every single one of their saves. This is very pretty and cool...but, against the rules. :|

    you did the work one time to make the script. now you can generate endless supplies of fresh beautiful images with a couple of clicks. thats the problem. powder toy is about building your simulations with stuff you have made by hand or that someone else has and you give credit. this stuff stabbs at the heart of what makes the TPT online community what it is. I have no doubt that you are a very talented coder. make an appropriate mod and you will be a tpt god.

    If your going to state a rule you should state the whole thing. If you are non-compliant with a rule in any way then you are simply breaking a rule. it does not matter that the script is inside LUA. you did not hand draw it. Period. this is the second one in 2 days. are you nuts?

    1. No image plotting. If you have to use a program to draw out pixels from an image outside of Powder Toy WITHOUT DRAWING IT BY HAND, then don't be surprised when the save gets deleted and you get banned. Jojobond has his on the topmost votes because he was the first to figure out how, but the grandfather rule no longer applies.

    so using lua and spending hours creating a script creating something is not legit? Lua is a tool implemented for such purposes but using it is disliked at worst forbidden? I think lua offers endless possibilities and if you are able to use it correctly can create beautiful things. Its very well documented and i cannot imagine one is not supposed to use lua.

    beautiful. but it is still CGI. it is competing with HAND DRAWN WORK. the rule is to prevent CGI from competing with hand drawn WORK. what your doing is not what powder is about. that is the essence of the rule. that said I am a Huge fan of fractals. I have speant hours zooming around the Mandelbrot set (and julia subset).

    @tpt-hugger The "Mandelbrot" fractal is a fractal that graphs complex numbers. I don't know much more than that (I'm a sixth grader), but a fractal is a representation of a mathematical equation that can be zoomed in infinitely.
