The WiFi got cut out by the storm and everyone notices you. Plus, the RTG is half the size of the rover.

While everyone is watching space TV I load all of the food, water, power, etc, into the rover, along with my sword and possibly an RTG.

The rover's battery can power the hab for 2 hours, but if you stole it alone and drove off it could sustain you for 4 days... But you would need food and water.

I use a small rocket in the pack to send up a solar energy collector that uses quantum mechanics to send electricity instantly to the planet. It supplements the energy provided by the cables hooked up to the RTG.
