    OK. Thank you soo much Qweryntino. I obviously made too many assumptions when I modified my other save. forgot a few details. Both Issues are fixed.

    this is my favorite typewriter now, but fix these bugs please: printhead crashes after reaching end of the string and backspace deletes letters from higher strings

    sure. Keyboard layouts I never knew existed keep being presented to me. I have such a small world. it makes sense. I just never thought about it much.. i googled it. so I will make a version that I will link to from this and leave it unpublished.
