If you set the temp of the gas to 2900 you get a nice long flame lower down in the atmosphere then as it gets higher up it slowly turns into a darker jet of purple flame (plsm here but close enough), like in real rocket engines.

Well if you can make a seperate save and comment the id, try messing around with the temperatures for a start
