A thermocouple is a thing that uses the difference in temperature between things (i.e. a hot lump of plutonium 238 and some radiators) to make electricity. @Long yes, but don't worry as I am resetting this soonTM (probably tomorrow or today, even)

It's just enough to power a small life support unit, though, not enough for the engines. I think there's some batteries in the workshop, lemme check.

@Fatboy nope, all you had for backup power was the backup batteries. There's a small thermocouple in the lab, though.
