    I can't believe it's been almost a whole century since this happened. Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the disaster. Thank you for this recreation.

    Then the largest explosion was taken be that massive tnt explosion made to simulate an atomic bomb over here in the states

    An bad idea indeed, but it was wartime and all british ships on high seas where in danger to be attacked by german u-boats. It was maybe better to risk one ship, fully loaded with explosives than divide the cargo and risk these ships too.

    An excellent recreation of such a horrific disaster, i don't know who thought it would be a good idea to load so much high explosive cargo onto one boat.
