Place your alloy in the center of the device, unpause and count the number of pulses your alloy can survive without all of it melting. Post your number of pulses in the comments with your alloy name, and the save ID to it.

    Sparking PSCN survived well over 200 pulses. This is pretty weak compared to that stuff.

    Just quartz survived 28 pulses with a peak temp of 5000c. I may have gotten lucky, but... Still...

    Haha, added a block of NSCN and it melted after 14 pulses. You should up the temperature of the beam. ;-) Interesting idea, though.

    If you want to make this hot, use the command !set temp aray 9999C
