I may only repeat. Water as a chemical will not run out in sane timeframes. (It does evaporate, even lots of it gets lost to space every day. But there's just so much of it on earth that it doesn't matter, really.) The problem we are facing, and which will intensify in the near future, is DRINKING water. This is scarce, not water as a chemical compound.
We wont run out of water, all water remains in our atmosphere I believe. Maybe at some point we will have nothing but salt water, but we will always have some form of water on Earth.
@Islenska not to be rude, but that is the second most brainless comment I have ever seen. We will run out of surface water at some point in the future. Then, we will rely solely on creating water from fusing hydrogen and oxygen atoms. Once the hydrogen and oxygen is all gone, we can't breathe, we can't make any more water, and we would all die.
It doesn't matter because we will never run out of water

Just build a well? Who tagged it that?
Yeah, but we can take the salt water and purify it into clean drinkable water, however this is only effective in developed countries
