Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram by motaywo
A Hertzsprung-Russell (HR) Diagram is used to visually classify stars by brightness, type, colour, temperature, and stage in life. Our sun would be in the right half of the main sequence. This is a work in progress, but will be free to use when finished.

Luminosity is basically the brightness of the star, and is measured in multiples of the sun's brightness - A star with a luminosity of 1 solar units has the same brightness of the sun. A star with a luminosity of 0.1 solar units is a tenth as bright, and a star with a luminosity of 10^6 solar units is 1 million times brighter than the sun. -
