This one is about the Nedelin Rocket Explosion, happened on Oct.24th.1960. in the USSR. Safety procedures where ignored as they rushed to launch in time, so that a short circuit was able to blow the rocket up in a fireball.

    This is really cool and all, but even though i'm not offended, someone might start getting angry for the fact that the USS Thresher has a "In memory of all lives", etc, while this one doesn't. Otherwhise, +1!

    Indeed doc. And it was such an idiotic mistake. They started to replace electrical parts without removing the fuels from the rocket. Everyone knows that tons highliy combustable rocket-fuel an electric currents are a bad mixture.
