This would technically work, light from the Earth is being sent out in all directions. All you need to do is to look REALLY precisely at a spot on a black hole light years away, figure out how to tell the difference between photons from Earth, and photons from every other source, then look for a long enough time for computers to reconstruct an extremely low resolution image of the Earth.
