The USS Kiara is a fictional ship I designed for the Star Trek universe. It existed around the time of the Enterprise D and the USS Voyager, so it shares some similarities. Enjoy! UPDATE: Added Deco for a more Realistic ship.

I am not bothered by the nacell. Just add some damage reistance and it's enough.

I'd also suggest a more advanced deflector. Enlarge and armor it to ensure reliability in battle. Perhaps even a secondary deflector is in order with such a powerful drive.

I understand the balance of 3 naccelles, but maybe at least lower the bottom ones, and Straighten the pylons, they look a bit awkward somehow, but 3 naccelles makes a nicer looking Top section from in front!

Here are the answers to your questions: 1) it IS a spaceship, so it should survive in space 2) I see your point, but the four nacelles are there to provide maximum speed and menouverability. I did consider three nacelles in my initial design. 3) It took me four days with lots of fact checking. 4) TheArchitect is right. Warp is its main travel method, and high menouverability was in mind when designing this. 5) your modification is "logical" excuse the pun, so I might change the Nacelles.

I'd suggest lowering the lower nacelles to below the saucer. It'd look better and (technobabble time) it'd create a more symmetrical warp field, and so would be more efficient.
