    well thanks for sorting it out. really good to hear a mod sorting things like this out but sorry man, these flame wars occur much often than in the past so please keep in consideration on finding a way around this jacob, i and others didnt think about the issue for nothing you know? anyways thats the end of me today...

    987tails, yeah people should have constructive criticism (you rarely see it on art). Be less angry in your comments though. Also i know the art rule is ambiguous, but lets not blame the mods and that rule for this flame war.

    equinox_YOLO, what jf55 isn't true. Just because we demote deco art doesn't give people a right to hate on it every single time. If you don't like art, downvote it and move on. Nean, the community when I started in 2011 was very awful, especially on the forums. I think it's calmed down a bit now, the only real drama is around art saves and nationwides, you pretty much never get drama anywhere else.

    If it looks good from the thumbnail, it often lasts longer. Putting a tiny little piece of functionality does not and never has affected it. That wouldn't make any sense anyway, it doesn't make it any less art. This save for example will probably get demoted in a day or two, but starting massive flame wars doesn't make it happen any faster.

    Btw, art is allowed on front page. Commenting and complaining about it won't get it demoted any faster. We do tend to demote deco art after a few days, but just enjoy it while it's up and don't complain. The rule right now is pretty ambiguous, so enforcement just depends on when a moderator happens to notice it and wants to demote it. I generally demote art saves with ugly looking thumbnails faster (such as those "turn the deco on" ones). Basically, deco art.
