    Which also makes me wonder, why doesn't tpt use more than 1 core? Sure it's usually not super intensive but it'd be nice to run bomb saves and stuff like this at more than 5 fps...

    @heyimwasp: 8700k has the same number cores/threads as 7800x, overclocks to 5gh, while using less power than a 7800x. Powdertoy only uses 1 core, and the 8700k currently has the highest per core performance, so it would win. sorry for the long comment
