    A single spore of an alien life form (YEST) drifts toward the unsuspecting world. It senses life-giving warmth! Rapisly multiplying cells engulf buildings; the infection spreads before any countermeasures can be prepared. But the artificial world is not fully compatible with the ravenous space-fungus. It begins to die, and the dead cells burst into flame....

    I mean, a sphere is easier to work with at this scale, but you do you. I prefer something like the machine worlds in Stellaris.

    There would still be gravity in the corners, just less of it. Sounds like an ideal place to put hospitals or any other building that houses people who suffer from impaired mobility.
