Using the SIZE of light(the distance of the "wavelength" and the size of the photons) the Earth would be a lot bigger -

if the equator is 40 075km, we see half of it so the earth's "diameter" as shown here is half of that: 20 037km. Divide it by the pixels of the diameter which is 38 and you get how big in square kilometers one pixel is: 527.30263157 km^2. So one pixel worth of surface area is almost as big as Yemen - 527.968km^2. -
