Then it wouldn't burn for a while, and if the sword got heated it would help the people who got slashed as it would seal the wound -

iamastrangeman 3rd Jun 2019I also have an idea for a weapon: Swords coated in coal. Once a battle begins, soldiers can burn their swords before fighting, thus creating a FLAME SWORD.
