Have the decoy force act like a band of deserters or perhaps abandoned wounded men, make a ruckus by fighting each other or perhaps lighting obvious fires. Whatever it takes to get the other 10000 away from their buddies.

MinecraftTranquility 12th Jul 2019Hide our troops from the scouting parties, oh, and scatter excess equipment along the route, as though we discarded it. Have no camps be built, no campfires, just eat your food raw, (no raw meat of course). We have to wait for them to pursue.
