  Coordinate based. Use the power of m a t h (pain) to calculate where enemy ships will be, based on aerial plane / drone footage to get speed and location, then open fire.

  Coordinate based targeting is very stationary and cannot be changed once the missile is fired. This targeting can be nullified if the enemy is fast moving or simply moves their position while missile is airborne. However this is considered the most consistent form of targeting.

  Magnetism depends completely on the material you are targeting. Any significant amount of magnet attracting metal will draw the missile toward it at the last 10000 feet approx. This form of targeting can be made useless if the enemy is not in possession of large metal objects like tanks or artillery cannons. Highly effective in naval warfare, where ships are massive metal targets can easily draw magnets.

  Heat tracking can be disrupted by ambient heat sources like fire and weather and is highly sensitive to changes, unreliable for smaller targets or individual targets, but can be used effectively against large heat generating entities like steel factories or soldier marching columns, where the crowd of body heat is obvious.
