    @QuanTech , i looked circuit in internet by writing "Full adder circuit" and "Adder subtractor circuit" , and it dont use NOT . XORing is better i think

    (or you could also flip a bit by XORing it with 1)

    @Sandboxvoid in the computer world, a-b is equivalent to a+(-b). thus any adder can 'process' negative numbers, provided the number is inverted first. this can be achieved using several NOT gates (which flips the input bit to the opposite)
