@VIP84 That's what you'd use different brushes for in Paint. But if it's about dedicated tools, like you said programs like Photoshop or Gimp have that. A lot more than the couple tools here and far better too. That's why those are what people use. I just don't get why there's interest in still art here when loads of creations that use the mechanics of TPT are just as artistic. IMO it's more to do with having an easier audience here than dA or somewhere it's harder to catch people's attention.

Being more forceful about one thing causes stigma and compounds the necessary freedoms to do what we should to explore what this game can teach us. Simply pushing for the all too common ideal that is "there should be more art" doesn't necessarily help in that degree, as it lessens our ability to explore the other facets of this game put in place by d e s i g n .

You can achieve the balance not by just telling people to stop posting art saves, but by allowing the members of the community to reach out to one another and pushing for more stuff like an interest in electronics, lasers, machines, graphic design, and the mechanics of the game and what they teach us about and how they relate to real life. We have to open up the community to more creativity and whatnot, not just subject it to more an more rules.
