On June 4, 1989 the Chinese government ordered military personnel to shoot protesters in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. It is estamated that over 5000 people died. This is a reminder to pay homage to those who died come the 31 anniversary of the massacre.

The meme is that it never happened. It's based off the fact that the Chinese government has tried extensively to cover the event up and censor its existence. In reality, it did take place. -
