Zepheruni: According to the CCP, only 300 people died in an anti-revolutionary battle. However, almost all western nations have concurrently concluded that many more had died. I will admit that 5000 may be high but unfortunately there is no reputable statistic.

socialism is just soft communism

Actually, a lot less than 5000 died. most were injured. The protesters began brutally attacking the policemen first.

Aleneration: The communists in Eastern Europe had done acts of terror like this before and to honest, they deserve just as much attention. Uprisings in Hungary, Poland, East Germany, and the Soviet Union were all brutally suppressed up until around 1980.
-
Actually, there was almost no bloodshed in the square itself
-
+1, BTW, why did you not remove the flag of China in your save?
-
To be honest, the same thing could have happened in Warsaw or Moscow in that year if their Communist parties were willing to do so, it's just that the Chinese government is so determined to hold the power, and the communist regimes in Europe succumbed to progression. It's very much related to Chinese history and culture since China has been in autocracy (at least as autocratic as France before the French revolution) for more than 2000 years.
