the reason titanium is used in armor is because it is about as strong as steel, but much lighter.

Sirius-zt: tungsten is brittle, as in when it finally gives way it cracks, but it takes a lot for it to break(more than titanium). Titanium however, doesnt crack, it bends and curves, it takes a lot less energy to destroy titanium.

also, titanium isn't much stronger than steel in real life, as a matter of fact I think magnesium is stronger than titanium
