    dueterium oxide is a deuterium atom taking the place of a hydrogen atom in a water molecule

    Deuterium is basically hydrogen, but with one neutron. Hydrogen only has one proton, one electron, and no neutrons, while deuterium has one of each. The DEUT in TPT is actually deuterium oxide.
