  begin attempting to create explosive substances like gunpowder, when my 20 ships are ready load them with supplies to last a few years and lots of colonists then head west, most of them should be expert fishermen to provide the colony with food. after the colonists and supplies have arrived 10 ships back to act as supply ships between the colony and my nation and the 10 other ships should serve as fishing vessels for the colony, build 20 more ships. make steam engines more efficient and smaller.

  start choping down trees start researching basic wooden plate armor and slingshot then send scouts to the northern area to find seeds and make farms near the capital

  Check the status of our steam engine. If finished, mass use it commercially. Use it to power drills. Invent basic power tools such as the chainsaw. Meanwhile, expand north along the coast, continuing to follow the (updated) lines in our spooky secret save. Start making glass and exporting it. Establish a troop factory slightly northeast of our capital, and use it to bring the total troop count to 3k.

  Begin national service. All able bodied people both male and female will when 15 will be placed into national service until 20. During this time they will all be given basic military and engineering training. Engineering training will involve them being placed in situation where they will be forced to deal with extremely limited resources when fixing machinery with limited resources. They will also be given apprenticeships in areas of their choice such as medicine, engineering, chemistry etc.

  Once investigations on electricity have been completed and we have discovered a way of generating it begin to further automate industrial and agricultural processes. All those that are and will be left unemployed are to be re educated in both higher and lower education again for free. They will be forcefully encouraged to move into secondary, tertiary and quaternary job sectors after education. If they are incapable of completing lower education they wont be granted free higher education.

  Begin working on a hand-powered train that can move the cart on a rail. It can carry ores and also carry supplies. We can also attach the steam engine on there if possible. Continue developing gunpowder, and set up tons of mines near the south to get sulphur. Set up military bases (reinforced forts/bunkers with archer towers). Set up "trenches" and wooden spikes, we can also put metal spikes on the wood ones for extra sharpness.

  Continue working on the internal combustion engine, and improve on the steam engine to make it smaller and more efficient.. Expand, and build more roads throughout our country. The drill problem can be solved by having a sloped metal slab that is connected to a steam engine that can push the drill upwards once it breaks. Continue training for long ocean travel. Start improving our infastruture using high quality materials.

  Watboi1, continued work on the steam engine is ongoing. You have also made the first functional train. New trains and railways are being built. Work on plastics from plant cellulose is underway. You are working on recycling industrial waste.

  Superbantom, research on steam power is being incentivised. 20 ships are being in large part rebuilt to survive the treacherous waters, this process includes extending and thickening the hull and adding a third mast. Ventilation shafts have been created which has improved the conditions in the great pit.

  Superbantom, Steel powered drill manufacturing is underway, however due to the bulk of such devices they aren't practical in most cases. Currently steam power can only automate very nieche roles. Containing pure and compressed air and then the decompression of such air is currently not easily feasable, however it is being worked on.
