  Create more advanced forms of transportation, and since you said we had steam tractors, possibly make militarized versions of these. Herd animals for food, leather, and depending on what kind of animal, milk. Create farms for plants that can be used for clothing like cotton. Send settlers to the nearby ocean unless somebody took it.

Begin working on a meteorological department and begin studying weather patterns. Create an astronomical studies department and build an observatory to observe and study the stars.

  if i can still continue,when all the research i said yesterday is done begin researching guns after the research is done make 1000 gun the guns include:smg,rifle,burst,shotgun,etc then train 1000 soldiers meanwhile start researching watertight suit that have filter to filter the oxygen out of the water
