Tech trees are a horrible idea and restrict you as a player both creatively and militaraly. Slower progress is also bad because that means you can expand less, wage war less, sometimes not even reach other players -

superbantom 18th Jun 2021I would quite like Minecraft tranquility to start a new wide, this time with slower technological progress ( so with an update every day it would take around a month to progress out of the bronze age) and more magic and possibly a proper tech tree
