Does the Inquisiton exist to limit the effect of the catastrophe that tech causes on people like us?
Also in regards to your first bit, you're very correct - an average Mantlekind would rush in to beat the snot out of a kidnapper if they were to witness one in progress.
@7shotsolo Heh, not quite yet. Every race of The Lily is keenly aware that The Lily requires a very delicate kind of balance between the elements it fosters. The tension between these factions is certainly there, but everyone knows what will happen if all-out war breaks out. They kinda need each other if the gods they serve and the elements those gods represent are to remain balanced. The Order, however, have other plans...
So The LWI hasnt happened yet? (Lily War I).
Mantlekind: Fear is a crime Me when i see a kiddnapper:RUN!!!!!
The primary base of operations of The Communion is the Elemental Complex, suspended airborne just off the eastern rim of Gravvspawn with the help of some Zethyr collaboration.
And finally, The Communion of Scientists consists of those who feel the unorthodox Callings of Zyf, the god of destruction and Spawn, the god of the unknown. The goal of The Communion is to find every limit and elemental attribute of the Lily there is, and to eventually satiate the droning, maddening Calling of Spawn. With Zyf part of the equation, members of The Communion are especially unafraid of finding these attributes, no matter the cost. Knowledge is power, fear is a crime.
The primary base of operations of The Freshwater Church is the Spire of Lifestudy, a towering school of biology nestled within the canopy of the Far Wild.
The Freshwater Church consists of those who feel the Callings of Haeli, god of life and Alma and Amla, gods of creation. The Church has devoted its focus to betterment and growth for all who walk the Lily, and when they aren't battling poverty, famine and war on the Lily's surface, they're sinking time into studying and documenting all forms of life, ultimately trying to solve the question of how everything living came to be.
the primary base of operations of The Inquisition is Nothmirth, a permafrost city suspended upon frozen space drifting just below the chalice of Gravvspawn.
