MrPineapple: better architectural methods are being developed, you are using animal hide "wallpaper" as inslulaion from ever increasing cold. hides are being tanned, scraped and used for more protective clothing and a crafting materal. you do not really have any materials to make explosives from. a network of messenging outposts connected by cobbled roads is being set up, allowing communications, both governmental and military to reach most of your nation rapily.

due to their distance it will be almost impossible to contact them, but hopefully the colonists will stay loyal to your government.
also your fleets have settled on some uncolonised islands to the west, after they supplies began to run out, and their ships were damaged during a strom.
mines are being dug much deeper, but your miners are now running into problems with tunnels collapsing and lack of oxygen in the deepest shafts. but you are managing to access some previously unknown ores, like small amounts of iron. a copper gold allow has been created, but is is not much use as you have bronze, and is only found in decorations and expensive clothing, to save on the small amounts of gold your nation has.
VRAPTOR102: you are expanding further north, but the vegetaion in the area is extremely thick and the terrain is highly uneven, and is very difficult to cut through to build roads or pathways. making expansion very difficult. you are expanding into Lenavis, although new portrugal is displeased at this, because you are expanding into their claims. basic pullies, shafts and cogs have been researched, allowing for more complex mechanical system to be built.
oh and since drug addictions in my country will be sky-high develop a basic law system and a monthly drug limit so if someone were to snort too many lines they will be sent to "rehabilitation" which is totally not forced labour
split the military into 5 main groups:charioteers(archer/sling+axe),heavy infantry(thick armor,heavy shilds,halbard +sword, formation),archers(forest warfare,composed of the best shots)skirmishers(med-light armor, light shilds,axes+slings)and engineers(bridges,new developments,sige engins...) and 2 of rabble(ranged and melee),make preparations to send most of the population with the expeditions if it gets too cold,fortify the vally heavily,and encourage sientific thought
