So how to I suggest it be fixed? I see two options, neither of which are perfect. First, there's the option of a major rebranding, involving a subreddit or discord server that basically introduces strict rules and content policies. Basically a non-furry community for anthro-fans. Basically drawing a distinction, and avoiding feeding the more... Unsavory side of the group. -
StabbyMcFishFace 19th Feb 2022To be honest, it's also confusing, since it's never quite clear whether someone means the specific character, or one of the fans. It also excludes lizard/bird characters, which I find a weird distinction to make. To be quite frank, it's a mess.

StabbyMcFishFace 19th Feb 2022Honestly, I don't know why people still use the word "Furry" to describe themselves. It's this awful branding that makes me hesitant to call myself one even if I like anthro-characters a majority of the time. First it sounds stupid, and it's also garnered a HORRIBLE reputation thanks to certain nasty people who joined as an outlet for perverted passions.
