Your people are naturally resistant to many diseases. You immune systems will be able to overcompensate for the presumably tame pathogens found outside your homeland. As for the Lizards your people will learn how to deal with them. -

also recently a large complex of caves has been discovered lining the lakeshore, these caves would be a good source of valuable trade goods, and probably worth exploring -

superbantom 9th Dec 2021also recently severe dust storms have been blowing in from the northern wastes, damaging farmlands crops and settlements. while this is not a severe issue it does decrease agricultural productivity in the area and the duststorms have been getting worse in recent decades.
