food is being salted with salt gathered from evaporatde seawater to preserve it. large raft like floating huts are being created, make from a large quantity of tied together logs, with a canopy above them to protect its inhabitants from the weather. they are difficult to build but can be moved freely up and down slow moving rivers with a decent amount of effort. they are too fragile to be used in the ocean. they are becoming the common abode of fishermen as they are very useful for fishing.

hard stone knives are being used to loosten "jems" your peoples name for any shiny looking rock or crystel from the rock. but they are not very effective at it atall, requiring a loose "jem" in the firstplace
